For over 15 years, patrons of Luigi’s Bar of Calumet have held an annual spring weekend at the Pines Resort in Copper Harbor. Activities include fishing, 4 wheeling, golf, pool and just enjoying Copper Harbor. In recent years they have held a (plastic) duck race in Fanny Hooe Creek to raise money for worthy causes. This year Grant Township’s Hunter’s Point Project received a donation of $500 towards the purchase of Hunter’s Point. Weekend organizer Mark Paulson presented the award to Richard Powers at the group’s Saturday night spaghetti dinner.
